"Painting has always been my way of expressing the beauty of the world around me. And for me, there’s nothing more beautiful than the love I share with my partner, who happens to be a commercial fisherman.
When I paint our XtraTuf boots side by side, it’s a reminder that even though he may be out at sea a majority of the time both of what we do for a living is always for our future. It’s comforting to know that we share this connection even when we’re miles apart. 
I know that there are many other couples out there who have loved ones working at sea, and I hope this painting serves as a reminder that even when we’re apart, we’re always connected. "
