The Cape May Lewis ferry has been a Staple of Cape May County for as long as I can remember.  Every Summer as a child I would take the ferry with my grandparents over to Deleware as we headed to St. Micheals, Maryland for our annual family vacation.  I remeber always being so excited to get on the massive ship and walk around with my cousins and gradparents.  Years later, a close friend of mine, and local photographer; Johnny Glogowski, took a photograph of the ferry on a stormy afternoon as it was coming into port.  The photograph, with its prominent "Slow No Wake" sign, immediately sparked my artistic inspiration. I felt compelled to transform this powerful image into a painting, hoping to evoke emotions and nostalgia in those who share a connection to this iconic vessel.
